Running for office doesn't just have to mean taking a big fancy position in federal office or the state legislature - change starts on a local level, and many local elections in rural America go uncontested - often leading to a Republican victory by default. You can be a part of changing this.

Become a Precinct Committeeperson 

PC's are the backbone of the Democratic Party. They help elect Democratic party leadership and shape the future of the party, as well as act as organizers in their neighborhoods. A Democratic Party with more young PC's is a Democratic Party that is more responsive to the needs of young people.
